14 Months
Noah and Micah are now 14 months old, and have both conquered walking in the past month. Noah started steadily walking a couple of weeks before Micah, which is funny since Noah didn't even start crawling until he was about 11 months old! Something just clicked and he was off on his own two feet. Micah probably got jealous of all the fun Noah was having walking so he decided to get off his knees and start walking more too. It's really cute to have two walking babies now. Maybe now that they're walking, I need to start calling them toddlers.
Our two toddlers seem to have a caught a cold the past week, and are battling some coughs and runny noses at the moment. Poor guys. The other night, we put them to bed early (around 7:15) and they slept 12 hours straight. Usually, we do bedtime at 7:45 pm and they'll sleep 11 hours or so. Not bad at all. We go into their room around 7:20 am and get our day started. Their schedule is pretty consistent every day: breakfast, wardrobe change, activity and snack, play/reading, lunch, nap at 12:15-12:30 pm, up by 3 for more play/snack/activity until dinner around 6 pm. We've been trying out some activities outside the house now that we're more familiar with the area, and Monica is comfortable driving our van now. They have story time on Monday mornings, Discovery Place Kids meet-up on Tuesday mornings with another set of twins, nearby parks for other mornings, and we've also tried out some music classes (which we probably won't sign up for). They also went to Spanish story time at the library, but will probably skip that since Monica can teach them more Spanish at home.
Here are some photos I took at the park the other day. Micah is in the lighter romper and Noah is in the blue one.
They seem so grown up!
