Noah and Micah's 3rd Birthday Party

As you probably know by now, the boys are now fascinated by dinosaurs. I (Mitch) don't blame them. I was, too! Maybe I still am... I mean, dinosaurs are crazy! This all came on around the time they first watched The Land Before Time. It's a classic from my childhood, and it really captured their imagination. Shirts, toys, figurines, pants, and stickers... all dino-themed things are a big hit right now.

With all that in mind, Natalie went all-out for a dinosaur birthday party! The snacks were themed: Cretaceous Clouds (popcorn), Coelacanth Crackers (goldfish), and Dino Bones (pretzel sticks). The cakes had dinosaurs painted on them. There were dinosaur bones buried in the sandbox: the parents stood buy furiously re-burying them as quickly as the kids could dig them up! A dinosaur egg hunt was a big hit (and we're still finding a few hiding around).

In general, the boys did a lot better this time around. We had fewer people for this party, and the boys know these kids a lot better. It's amazing to see how much they've changed in their ability to handle these situations and enjoy themselves so much. Another year is in the books, we couldn't be happier!
