This year's Christmas was very different from last year's Christmas, just as 1.5 year old toddlers are very different from six month old babies. The boys are definitely more aware of toys and fun things now, and while they didn't know why they were getting a bunch of presents, they definitely enjoyed getting more trains, trucks, and stuffed animals to play with. This year, we also went to Gung Gung and Paw Paw's house in Virginia Beach (last year, we stayed home in Oakland and didn't have any visitors) where we got to see cousins, Hudson and Rosie, Aunty Donna, Uncle Matt, and Suk Suk Eric. The cousins had a pretty good time playing together, though the concept of "not your toy" was a little lost on the little ones. The boys did well with napping and sleeping in their travel cribs, and mama and dada shared the same room with them. Luckily, mama's lingering cough at night did not wake up the boys, and they woke up happy each morning, saying "mama" and "dada" when they stood up and saw us sleeping in the bed in front of them. :) The car rides to and from Virginia Beach went pretty well, with stops in Durham to visit Sarah, John, and Emery and in Henderson for lunch and play at Chick-fil-a helping to break up the drive and let the boys have some fun. Now we are back in Davidson, getting back into our routine, though in a few days, Grandma Rose will arrive for New Year's! The fun never ends for the Anstey twins!
