Logan at Six Months
Logan is six months old!!! This little girl is a chunkster. She weighed a solid 20 pounds 9,5 oz and measured 27 inches long at her six month check-up. Her weight puts her ahead of both Noah and Micah when they were six months; and they were big boys too! She had her first experience of stranger anxiety with the physician's assistant who weighed her and was so taken with Logan's cuteness that she started showing her off to the other nurses/techs. It was one of the only times we've really ever heard her cry in distress (not related to sleep).
Logan is on a very consistent schedule nowadays: 8:15-8:30 wake up (we are SO lucky), gets a bottle of pumped milk, plays, has a morning nap around 10:30 - 12:30, gets another bottle of milk, plays, afternoon nap from 2:30 - 4:30 pm, wakes, plays, *new* dinner of solids at 6:15 pm with the whole family at the dinner table, catnap/nursing session after dinner for 20-30 minutes, then bedtime around 8:30 pm. I think it won't be long until we drop that evening catnap, since her other naps are so long and she's getting 11.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night. We introduced solids a week or two before she turned six months, and she wasn't that into it at first... but once we hooked in her high chair and moved up our dinner time so we could all eat together, she started to like her dinner of rice cereal or purees (she's tried carrots, sweet potatoes, and avocado so far). She really picked up eating from a spoon like a champ, and we will probably start feeding her a lunch of solids soon.
Logan has not rolled from her tummy to her back yet, as far as we know, but is getting better at sitting up in a tripod position. She seems to have some favorite toys now, and will grab for them if we put them nearby wherever she's laying or sitting. She is not easily phased by her brothers rough-housing or loud noises. She enjoys talking more now and when you make clicking/popping noises with your mouth at her. Flying like an airplane has elicited peels of laughter too. Logan is just the best baby, and we are so lucky to have her!
