Logan's Four Months Old!

Logan is now closer to 5 months than 4 months as I'm typing this (July 29), but I'll still post a quick update. At her 4 month check-up, Logan weighed 16 pounds 5.5 ounces, and measured 25 inches long. She handled her shots like a pro with a little crying and fussiness, but nothing a little infant Tylenol couldn't help out with. She is still sleeping well at night, and has basically been sleeping 11-12 hours straight since she turned 3 months. There are the occasional early morning wake-ups where I go in to feed her, but for the most part, this whole family is sleeping well. Phew!

Logan's schedule has changed a bit, as she's gotten bigger and more active/alert. She still has the same wake-up and bedtimes (around 8 am and 8:30 pm). Nowadays, her wake time is around two hours, give or take 15 minutes. She had a couple weeks of weird napping, when we traveled to Buffalo over 4th of July, and also because her sleep has matured out of the newborn phase and become more "adult" like. That means, she's had to learn to go back to sleep after her first sleep cycle (45 minutes) if she startles or wakes up. We've been working on this the past week or two, along with doing a full transition into her crib and out of the rock n play. It's been going well, as most things have gone with Logan. She's just such a happy and easy-going little girl!

Logan generally starts her mornings with a warm bottle of pumped milk, and eats again after her nap. Since mama is back at work, this means another bottle for "lunch" and sometimes after her afternoon nap. If I (Natalie) can manage to go home in time, I'll generally nurse her after her afternoon nap and the rest of the evening, to minimize the number of times I have to pump. :P

Logan is getting stronger each day, and better at sitting up with assistance. She's also starting to show interest in rolling over, and can go from her side to her stomach now. She likes to kick her feet when she's doing tummy time, and seems like she can't wait to crawl. Please don't become mobile too soon, baby girl! :)
