Baby Bumpin'

If you are reading this blog, then you already know that we are expecting our third child, a girl, in early April. Now that I am 22 weeks along, and four months away from having our new baby, I figured it's time to start documenting this pregnancy a little. :) The first trimester was a little tough, but definitely not as tough as when I was pregnant with the twins. Second trimester has been much better, though I was hit with three colds in a row. Yuck! Currently, I am healthy and enjoying having a little more energy. Throughout this pregnancy, I've continued to run and workout, though I will take a rest day without feeling too guilty if I'm tired or just don't feel up for it. Like last time, I have a big thing for mandarins/clementines and fresh fruit in general. Simple carbs are often an easy-to-eat choice, and I've been known to eat plain (freezer) pancakes for lunch. We have let the boys know that there is a baby in mommy's belly, and they will kiss my belly if we ask them to give the baby a kiss. On the recommendation of Kathy, we also bought a couple of books to prepare them for the new baby and becoming big brothers. Along with those sorts of baby preparations, we are in the process of getting a new room ready for the boys, where they will sleep in toddler beds (converted from their current cribs). Their current room, which is one room closer to our master bedroom, will be used for the new baby. I've been having fun planning out both rooms' layouts and decorations. I'm trying to do as  much as possible before I potentially become too uncomfortable to be productive. Anyway, I'm glad I took a little time out of my morning to put together this short post. Time is flying and I know I'll appreciate looking back on these words and pictures later.
First trimester mommy needed to rest a lot, especially in the evenings.
