Pool! Pool! Pool!

"Pool! Pool! Pool!" is something that we hear all the time these days. The boys absolutely love going to the pool. We were lucky enough to get a summer membership through the College (though we still paid the fee...just didn't have to wait this summer to get off the membership waiting list) to the Davidson Swimming Hole. The Swimming Hole has a large, fenced-in wading pool with picnic tables and chairs for little ones, and a normal sized pool with a shallow end and deep end. At first, the boys stuck to the wading pool because they didn't want to wear their puddle jumpers. But after seeing other kids wearing them in the big pool, they decided it was fine for them to wear them in order to also go into the big pool. They love to climb up the steps and ladder and hop back into the pool. Noah will full-on jump or belly flop into the pool. Micah is more cautious, and usually hops in from a seated position off the ledge, or slides into the water on his belly.

The boys go almost every day, it seems. Monica will take them there after their afternoon nap, and we will meet them there after work. We usually see friends and acquaintances when we are at the pool, often with their own small children. On the weekends, we sometimes even go in the morning and in the afternoon. It's just the perfect place to be when it's too hot to do anything else. :)
