New Year's with Grandma Rose
We were lucky to celebrate another holiday, New Year's Day, with Grandma Rose. Grandma came down from Buffalo for a few days and nights, and brought some Christmas gifts for the boys, including their new favorite Thomas and Percy train toys. Noah and Micah also got very special books, which have recorded story-telling by Grandma. Story time with a built-in narrator? Awesome! We all had a nice time together, and celebrated the end of 2016 and beginning of 2017 with New Year's Eve dinner at Bad Daddy's Burger Bar, where the boys had fun "cheers"ing each other with their milk cups. We also got to have fun at the nearby Barnes and Noble's kids section, where we ran into some friends who were also killing time before dinner. :P
We got to go to a local mall one day, where the boys rode on a carousel for the first time. It was not their favorite thing. But luckily, they were the only ones on it, so we could tell the carousel operator that they were done. On another day, Grandma got to experience the craziness that is a twin play date, where a group of local twins around the same age all meet up at the Davidson Playhouse. All in all, it was a nice way to ring in the new year, and the boys and Grandma shared some good snuggles and laughs. Happy New Year!
