One Year!!!

Noah and Micah turned one year old two days ago on June 1st. It is really so crazy that the twins are already a year old. How did twelve months pass by so quickly!? There is so much that we want to say, but so few words that can actually express how happy, blessed, nostalgic, and full of love we feel. I (Natalie) was revisiting some notes I wrote the day before the twins were born. I had so many questions as a soon-to-be first time parent (and I was so uncomfortable those last days of pregnancy). I was excited, nervous, maybe a little scared of what was in store for us once those babies exited my body and entered the world. Seriously, nothing could have prepared us for how wonderful parenthood is, and the love we feel for these two boys. It has been awe-inspiring to see Noah and Micah grow and develop, making us proud with the littlest things, like stacking cups or clapping their hands. It's been fun lately to let them try out new toys or foods, and explore the house or parks. The world is an exciting place for a baby, and to have two babies discovering it is double the fun.

As we are getting ready to move out of Oakland and to Davidson, things have been busy around the house. It's been nice that we can rely on the boys to be well-behaved and well-mannered through all the changes so far. We wanted to document some of our everyday life here at 5693 Merriewood, so the boys could get a glimpse of their first home in California. We got in touch with Melissa of Icarian Photography, who had so beautifully captured the twins' first 48 hours back in June 2015 at the hospital. Here are some of the images from our photo session. I hope the boys will enjoy them as much as we do when they're older!
