Noah and Micah at One Month

Noah and Micah turned a month old last week, and are five weeks old today. It's crazy to think about how much has happened in this time, but also how it's only been a month. Since Noah and Micah were born at 36 gestational weeks, they've spent the past month getting to "full-term" (40 weeks). This meant feeding them around the clock to get their weight up, and them being generally sleepy babies otherwise. We have been doing tummy time with them as one of their waking activities, and will also read books to them and try to interact with them more when they're awake. Time really loses meaning when you're caring for two newborns, and you're only focused on getting to the next feeding cycle in three hours, and getting some sleep at night for yourself.  It's truly been the most surreal and magical time of our lives.

We have their 1 month pediatrician check-up tomorrow, and can't wait to see how much they've grown. We weigh them occasionally using our kitchen scale, and know that they've put on a few pounds since birth (which is great!)! We have finally graduated them out of most newborn clothes and into 0-3 month clothes, and out of newborn diapers too. They both have the cutest little bellies, and their cheeks, arms, and thighs are getting some chub on them. In fact, now that both Micah and Noah are getting chubby, it's harder to tell them apart!
